  2. The UTS Events Google Calendar is up to date with days of the cycle until late-winter and for major trips/events throughout the year. The remaining class cycles will be added in July.

  3. There is a new Staff Calendar in your Google Calendar for staff-specific events.

  4. The religious holidays and cultural events calendar as well as the field trip and contest calendar will be populated during the summer.

  5. The calendar committee is not scheduled to meet until later in August. If you are looking for an opportunity to request a field trip for the school year in 2023-24, please watch for the request form in the late summer.

πŸƒ Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) Rebate Program

If you are considering investing in a Zero Emissions Vehicle, please remember our special ZEV Rebate Program.  UTS Alumnus and Board Member, Tony Lundy '79, is a passionate advocate of decarbonization and has generously offered to fund a rebate program to support UTS employees with the purchase or lease of zero emissions vehicles.

The program provides a $5,000 rebate per staff member.  It is open to UTS employees in permanent positions, who purchase or lease an electric zero-emissions vehicle.  The $5,000 rebate is awarded as a non-taxable payment directly from Tony Lundy to UTS employees in continuing positions, who provide proof of purchase, or a 3-year lease of a zero emission vehicle.

The objective of the program is to support the use of zero emission vehicles so to the extent that Ontario follows the lead of BC and Quebec and provides infrastructure for hydrogen fuel cell cars, they would also qualify along with battery electric vehicles.

The ZEV Rebate Program has already been accessed by some members of staff.  It will run for the next two to three years.  We hope that this initiative encourages you to consider investing in a zero emissions car.  UTS employees in permanent positions who would like to access the program should contact Lily McGregor for more information.

β˜€οΈ Here is to a wonderful summer, wherever you may be

Whether you are off on your summer break, or will be returning as part of our exciting summer camps, or are among the almost 50 UTS staff whose work continues throughout the summer, we hope this coming season is full of wonderful experiences!
