COVID-19 Case Count

UTS reported 2 confirmed COVID-19 cases among in-person staff and students during the week of February 28-March 4.

These numbers are updated every Thursday, and can be found in the document below.

Weekly Schedule

Please find the activities schedule for the week of February 28-March 4, 2022 below, including the on-call list for teachers.

Students Learning Online and In-Person

This spreadsheet will be updated throughout the spiral for teachers to reference and determine which students will be learning in person and online.

If a student is forced to isolate or remain home due to COVID-19 in the household, the list will also be updated.

Please reach out to Nancy if you have any questions or concerns about students learning online and/or who appear to be switching between the two.

COVID-19 Vaccination Reminder

A reminder to staff that as per the UTS Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, all members of staff must receive their third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by no later than March 31, 2022.

Staff who have received their third dose should email their proof of vaccination to hr.staff@utschools.ca for confirmation.

So far we have received certificates from approximately 65% of staff members,

We would like to thank those who have received their third dose, and already provided their proof of vaccination, and encourage those who haven’t to use the upcoming March Break to book an appointment as soon as possible.

Have you read a great new article that inspired you, or found a podcast you can’t get enough of? Share your inspiration here and we may feature it on the next Staff Update.

This week’s submission comes from Vince Dannetta:

“I have been listening to this one for almost three years. Dr. Laurie Santos is a Psychologist at Yale. I loved her podcasts so much that I took her course (free) last April (found in Coursea). In one of her latest episodes she delves into that “meh feeling” we get especially during the pandemic. What I love about Laurie is that she makes understanding the science about what she talks about easy.
