Early Building Closure

The power shutdown that was originally scheduled for Friday, February 24 in order to address a hydro issue has been been moved to today Friday, March 3.

Staff and students should vacate the school by 4:30 p.m. today in order to permit this important work to proceed on schedule.

Reminder: Please Do Not Prop Doors Leading to Bloor Lobby  

For security reasons, please do not prop the doors leading to the main lobby at the Bloor Street entrance.

We understand that it may need to be propped when the old auditorium is in use but if you are heading out for lunch, etc. please allow the doors to lock behind you.

All F1 and F2 Teachers:  Please Minimize Homework for March 31 Weekend

All F1 and F2 students will be participating in synchronous online learning activities for YLLT on March 31 (PA Day). 

In the interest of student wellness and to free up their time and energy so that they can be fully present at these sessions, kindly minimize homework for March 31 weekend.



Teacher Survey on Unused Classroom IT Equipment

Girls Indoor Soccer

A reminder to teachers: the girls indoor soccer team will be away Monday, March 6 for their last league tournament day. 


Lang Innovation Lab: Maker-in-Residence Series

Please join the Innovation Team after school on Friday, April 3 for the start of the second Maker-in-Residence series in the Lang Innovation Lab. 

Tess Butler-Ulrich is working towards her Masters in Education at OTU, with a focus on making and STEAM education. The subject of this series will be microprocessors such as micro-bits; this first workshop will introduce the micro:bit and go over how to connect it to a device, inputs, outputs, and setting up micro:bit and explore coding through a series of challenges and debugging activities. (E.g., create a simple shape using the LEDs on the micro:bit, write a short message using the LEDs).
