A reminder to all OSSTF teachers that the 2024 Return to Work Declaration has been sent out.
Please complete the form by January 31.
HR Updates
Attendance at Staff Meetings, Department Meetings, Student Late Start Periods, Professional Activity, and Development Days.
The Staff Handbook has been updated to provide clarity around staff attendance at Staff Meetings, Department Meetings, and PD sessions. The section can be found on page 23 of the Staff Handbook.
Whistleblower Policy
The Board of Directors has developed a new Whistleblower Policy. The new Policy can be found on the Staff Conference HERE. Please take the time to read it.

UTS Values for our Future
During Monday’s PD session on strategic plan development there were almost 200 responses from staff to the question “What are the values UTS should hold as we plan our future?” Thank you for your thoughtful submissions, which will help guide the conversation around our school’s mission, values, and strategic direction.

Summer Camp 2024 Programs
The Experience Innovation Team is beginning to plan the 2024 Experience Innovation camps at UTS for summer break in July. Please note that we are also open to camp program ideas and invite teachers to submit new ideas for camp program offerings.

Staff Yoga
Restorative yoga started up again this week.
Please join us in the Jackman Theatre during lunchtime on Thursdays if you are interested. We would love to see you!
Mindful Munch Lunch Menu
UTS is also offering a hot lunch menu through Mindful Munch beginning in January, which staff are also welcome to order.
Please see the menu with a QR code to scan and place orders as well as the list of list of ingredients.
U of T Joint Membership Plan
Just a quick reminder that UTS staff are eligible to enrol in the U of T Joint Membership Plan.
The Plan provides access to The Faculty Club, Hart House and the Athletic Centre. Please reach out to UTS HR if you would like additional information on pricing and how to apply.
Water Fountain Reminder
Please refrain from pouring coffee or any beverage other than water down the water fountain drains. Please use the sinks if you are disposing of anything other than water.
