Save the Date: February 24

On Saturday, February 24th, the Social Committee welcomes all with or without children to join us in the Jackman Theatre at UTS from 2 to 4 p.m.!  

Face painter, balloon maker, dance party and other fun activities! Come and let off some steam yourself, and perhaps watch the little ones get to know each other. Please fill out this form, if you are interested in attending so that we can plan accordingly. More details to follow!

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Training

Empower Strategy Group’s Equity Diversity and Inclusion Training Winter Series is now available for registration. Sessions cover five topics: Unlearning Anti-Black Racism; Understanding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Intersectionality Fundamentals; Best Practices of Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism in the Workplace; Building a Culture of Allyship; and Understanding and Interpreting Microaggressions. Sessions start on February 15, 2024. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.


Facing History and Ourselves with George Takei

Facing History & Ourselves invites students, educators, and lifelong-learners to join an exciting event hosted by Facing History's U.S. partner organization. This online author event and virtual conversation will feature actor, author and civil rights activist George Takei. In his acclaimed graphic memoir They Called Us Enemy, Takei shares the story of his family's forced incarceration as Japanese Americans during WWII, the terrors and small joys of childhood in the shadow of legalized racism, and the way those experiences planted the seeds for his astonishing future as an upstander. Learn more and register here.

Please join us in the Jackman Theatre during lunchtime on Thursdays for free restorative yoga. We would love to see you!


Mindful Munch Lunch Menu

UTS is also offering a hot lunch menu through Mindful Munch beginning in January, which staff are also welcome to order.

Please see the menu with a QR code to scan and place orders as well as the list of list of ingredients.


U of T Joint Membership Plan

Just a quick reminder that UTS staff are eligible to enroll in the U of T Joint Membership Plan.

The Plan provides access to The Faculty Club, Hart House and the Athletic Centre. Please reach out to UTS Human Resources if you would like additional information on pricing and how to apply.
