Glaze Implementation Report

As UTS continues to strive to ensure that anti-racism, equity, diversity and inclusion are interwoven into the fabric of our school, we are also committed to accountability and transparency.  The latest Glaze Implementation Report provides the updates on our progress towards creating a greater culture of inclusion for all of our students and staff. Our work is guided by and builds on recommendations laid out by Dr. Avis Glaze OOnt in her January 2022 report for UTS, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: Our Shared Responsibility. As always, we invite you to reach out with any questions you may have about our work to date or moving forward.

Solar Eclipse Safety Information

On April 8, 2024, North America will experience the world's longest land-based total solar eclipse in over a decade. Here are a few resources to plan for a safe solar eclipse – April 8th.

The above list manufacturers that meet international standard ISO 12312-2 for safe viewing. Make sure that the glasses are not damaged or scratched before use. Sunglasses, even those with a very dark tint are not sufficient protection.  Also listed are manufacturers of camera solar lenses that meet specifications for safe photography.

You can also watch it on NASA Livestream. https://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse/livestream.
