The final discussion opportunity for the Glaze Report and Recommendations has been rescheduled to November 17, 2022 at 4 p.m. in the Boardroom.

Please see Kim Tavares should you have any questions.

Masking policy at UTS

While masking remains optional at UTS at present, there are certain situations where masking is mandatory if you are at school in person.

When are you required to wear a medical mask at UTS?

  • If a member of your household or you/yourself has tested positive for Covid-19, you are required to wear a mask for 10 days from the date of the test/symptom onset (whichever comes first).

  • When you are symptomatic and experiencing symptoms such as runny nose, coughs and/or sore throat, you should wear a mask until your symptoms have resolved.

Medical masks are available at UTS through the Main Office.

Learning Innovation: Pedagogical Tips and Resources for Teaching Online

November 8 will be a morning of online teaching and learning at UTS. It is the first time this year you’ll be teaching your classes online, and the first time your students will be experiencing it this year. Here are some online teaching tips and resources for your consideration.

If you have any online teaching tips, tricks, or treasures (resources) to share with UTS teaching colleagues, please add them here:  https://uoftschools.padlet.org/cresenciafong/OnlineTeachingTipsTricks.

Feel free to book some time with me (Cresencia), if you / your course team / your department would like to idea-jam about how you want to teach online on November 8. If those appointment slots don’t work for your schedule, email me or drop by my office (L140).

Got any magazines to donate for an art workshop?

We’re in desperate need of old magazines for an art-based workshop happening during the November PTI days.  This workshop is part of a full day of Truth and Reconciliation hands-on and experiential learning, for the F1 Year-Long Learning Theme (YLLT), happening on November 10 (yes - F1s will be at UTS on a PA day). If you have any old magazines to donate, please deposit them in the box outside Cresencia’s office (L140), by November 7. If your mailing address is printed on the magazine cover, be sure to cut that off. Thanks very much!
